I arrived back in San Diego at 3am Tuesday morning. Needless to say, all my friends want me to go out with them to this or that party to welcome me back, so I have been visiting one at a time trying to keep them all under control.
My sister asked me to come over yesterday to go to the party in her area. I finally showed at 4:30 but that wasn't nearly late enough. I wore my favorite team shirt, which apparently wasn't considered the best shirt to be wearing a: in San Diego and b: at a Cinco de Mayo festival. There's no pleasing some people.
There was a 10 person Mariachi band in the middle of the festivities and (what felt like) a thousand kids running amok. I did get to do some people watching though. My sister and her friends thought I was crazy because I was running around asking different men if I could take their picture for my blog. (See I think of you all.)
This college guy was growing his hair for Locks of Love, a project that donates human hair for wigs for cancer patients. What a sweetie. ;)
This Pretty was my reward for patiently enduring the crowd and my sister's friends. He gave me a funny look when I asked to take his picture for the blog, but he was a good sport about it.
My brat of a sister has the freaking Midas Touch. Several of us had eaten before the festivities, so she ordered 3 plates of food and 6 drinks. We received 6 plates of food and 8 drinks. When we pointed out the discrepancy, the server shrugged and said they had more tickets.
Back at my sister's house, the evening was settling in with games and drinks. My horrible, awful, evil sister decided to give half a dozen drunk people this to play with:
You are supposed to rotate a small bearing through 100 points on this hamster sized ball without it falling out of the maze. I mentioned the evil sister part, right?
I am going to spend the day recovering and hopefully tomorrow will be a nice ordinary day of job hunting, etc.
Hope everyone was able to enjoy a nice weekend. ;-)
